3D Printed Gift: X‑Plan Atlas Space Station Air Purifier Kit

Atlas began with a future sci‑fi scenario: when humans migrate beyond Earth, planetary settlements will need more than habitats—they will need ground-based infrastructure for communication, navigation, energy exchange, and deep-space coordination. The designer reimagined this idea as a desktop-scale object: a planetary relay hub rooted on an alien surface.

The name “Atlas” comes from the Titan in Greek mythology who held up the sky. In this concept, Atlas becomes a symbolic support pillar for future settlements: standing firmly on unfamiliar terrain, connecting planetary bases, deep-space fleets, and interstellar stations through signal relay and coordinate guidance.

Its structure follows that story. The central cylindrical body represents the energy and data core of an interstellar base station. The layered surrounding structures suggest signal reception, energy aggregation, and environmental monitoring modules. The top beacon emitter becomes the visual focus, evoking a transmitter that broadcasts signals and marks planetary coordinates into deep space.

That is why Atlas is more than an air purifier shell. It turns a practical home filter kit into a buildable sci‑fi artifact—something makers can print, assemble, and display as a small piece of imagined future infrastructure.
