How the Bambu Lab Filament Track Switch Works

  • The Filament Track Switch removes the fixed binding between AMS units and nozzles, so a supported slicer workflow can route any AMS filament to the left or right nozzle.
  • With Dynamic Mapping, the slicer can reassign filament between nozzles layer by layer, which may reduce purge waste and print time when the model’s color distribution makes it useful.
  • Savings are model-dependent. Results vary by layer changes, purge settings, filament behavior, and the number of AMS units connected.
